Shuidatian Township inherits tea lantern culture

The Wen Wu Tea Lantern Inheritance Center was unveiled in Shuidatian Township of Fenghuang County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture on December 15.
 
 
Shuidatian Township is one of the birthplaces of tea lantern culture in Fenghuang County, with a history dating back to the reign of Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty.

The tea lantern is divided into Wen (civil) tea lantern and Wu (military) tea lantern.
 

The Wen tea lantern performance is gentle, humorous and cheerful, giving people a cheerful, enthusiastic and pleasing feeling.
 

The Wu tea lantern performance is humorous, intense and enthusiastic, which can stimulate the enthusiasm of visitors and is highly welcomed by them. It has been included in the second batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage projects.
